Sulforaphane—The Master Activator
Sulforaphane is a sulfur-rich phytonutrient found in cruciferous vegetables, with broccoli sprouts being the most potent source. What sets sulforaphane apart isn’t just its direct antioxidant effect, but its ability to activate the body’s own powerful defense system at the genetic level.

Here’s how:

NRF2 Pathway Activation:

Sulforaphane is one of the strongest known activators of the NRF2 (Nuclear factor erythroid 2–related factor 2) pathway.  Think of NRF2 as the “master switch” that turns on over 200 genes related to antioxidant defense, detoxification, and cellular repair.

Upregulation of Endogenous Antioxidants:

Food First, Supplements Second
Broccoli sprouts and other cruciferous veggies are the richest natural source of sulforaphane. Just a small serving (1–2 tablespoons of sprouts daily) can provide meaningful support.
Sulforaphane supplements do exist, but whole food sources are safest and most balanced.  However, there are potent and easy to take supplements available.
If using NAC or glutathione supplements, always consult with your practitioner—especially if dealing with chronic illness, liver issues, or cancer.
